Whitaker Law is not regulated by the UK Solicitors Regulation Authority (“SRA”), although James Whitaker is authorised and regulated in his personal capacity by the SRA (identification number 414964) and by the State Bar of California (licence number 326504), and adheres to the professional and ethical standards applicable to solicitors, as set out in the SRA Principles and Code of Conduct for Solicitors (about which further information can be found on the SRA’s website: www.sra.org.uk). 

James Whitaker is registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (registration reference ZB698776).

Whitaker Law is not authorised to, and does not, handle client money.  The SRA Code of Conduct contains rules and principles of professional conduct for practicing solicitors and can be accessed via the SRA’s website.

Whitaker Law is not subject to the SRA’s (or any other) compulsory professional indemnity insurance requirements. Nonetheless, we maintain professional indemnity insurance (which is not, and does not need to be, based upon or compliant with the SRA-approved Minimum Terms and Conditions for solicitors), about which further information can be provided upon request.
